Inspired by this tutorial over at Praiseworthy, I decided to refashion my own old A-line skirt into a new tote bag. So here it is!
I got it done in in 5 hours or so.
I’m liking this refashioning business! HEHE. It’s super fun!

today, i’m wearing a “new” skirt. i refashioned it from an old pair of marks & spencer pants I got on sale a few years ago at like $29.00. I wore it for a while but unfortunately the material was too thick and I also altered too short.
it was also a little too big and baggy.
As the weather’s been really hot these few days and I wanted to wear a skirt instead of jeans. so last night, I decided to make this pair of old pants into a skirt.
i’m afraid i didn’t take the “making in progress” pics, but here’s the skirt!
it was hard trying to take a pic of my big fat butt.
Edit (12 March 2010): I have another pair of pants I want to refashion into a skirt. So maybe I’ll take pics to show the process of doing so then.

Last month, I made this neck pillow for my mom with this pattern. Mom loves it
she uses it alot , especially when watching tv.
Last night, I used the left over fabric to update my old mousepad at work.
I used this method.

I also made an apron! recycled from a piece of $1 tablecloth I had and also the fabric from a freebie shopping bag we get alot these days from merchants. I came up with this on my own. Now I won’t get wet when I do the dishes! ![]()

It feels great to sew things I can use!
