Completed Project: 10 squares lacey shrug September 10, 2010

I’d been working on this shrug for a month but this week, being stuck at home, got me moving on this and I finally completed it today. 😀 The pattern is originally free from here. But I couldn’t find the pattern on that site (my browser’s cookies settings or something prevented me from accessing the pages). With a help from a fellow raveler, I got a slightly modified pattern from a French site. For joining of the squares, you can visit this other French blog for more information. 🙂

I think I will make it in black too. I think it’s a really pretty pattern. :):):)

The pattern is written in standard crochet symbols chart. Feel free to ask me questions about the pattern if you have trouble reading the diagram! 😀

Hi, this looks really pretty!
I would love to learn to make this. I am a beginner at crochet and tried the links that you provided above but only got pictures – and unfortunately can’t figure out the pattern from the pictures 😦
Do you perhaps have the written pattern?
Many thanks! 🙂

Hi! i can’t write the pattern for you, unfortunately i don’t have the time. you can refer to this site for the meaning of the symbols. once you get the hang of it, figuring out crochet symbols is easy! http://www.mypicot.com/crochet_symbols_terms01.html

Can you please let me know the material you used for this. Thanks

Also is there another website in English that helps with joining the motifs?

misscraftyfingers - March 3, 2014

You can have a look at this site on how to join motifs. http://free-crochet-pattern-2009.blogspot.sg/2013/01/how-to-join-motif.html#

it’s a different motif, but the idea is generally the same.

I don’t remember what yarn was used, but a cotton thread similar to Aunty Lydia Classic Crochet Size 10 should work fine. You can also use size 5, it all depends on what size you want the motif to be.
