Well … I’m working on a scarf inspired by my friend’s mom’s work. 😀 It’s not really original, but I did a search online, and I don’t think anyone had posted up this pattern before. I hope I didn’t unconsciously infringe on someone’s copyright though because it’s a really easy pattern. I’m using crochet lace yarn for this scarf. It’s gonna take a while to complete. haha.
Updated 14 March 2010: Scarf Completed!
I completed this project in early February actually, but didn’t post it up until now. 😛 anyway, here’s the pattern.
Summer Lite Mesh Scarf Pattern:
Chain 65 (if you are using lace yarn or really thin yarn). You can chain less if you’re using thicker yarn. The foundation chain will be in (multiples of 3) + 5 till you get your desired width.
Row 1: DC into the 5th chain from hook, ch 1, skip 1 chain, *1 dc into each of the next 2 ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch*, repeat * to * till end, ch 3, turn
Row 2: Dc into the top of the 2nd dc, ch 1, skip 1 ch, *1 dc into each of the next 2 ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch*, repeat from * to * till end, ch 3, turn
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until desired length of scarf is achieved. Weave in the ends.
